FDA Clears Wellvii’s Portable Blood Pressure Finger Cuff

Wellvii Inc.’s BP Go blood pressure monitoring technology achieved U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance. The authorization helps the company in its mission to transform remote patient monitoring and connected healthcare.

The BP Go is designed to simplify the blood pressure measurement by utilizing a convenient finger-based measurement approach, eliminating many of the challenges associated with traditional arm cuffs. The device is designed for use in home and remote-care environments, which supports Wellvii’s vision of delivering accessible, connected health monitoring beyond the clinical setting.

“This FDA clearance is a transformational milestone for Wellvii and BP Go,” Wellvii CEO Mark Khachaturian, Ph.D., said. “It brings us one step closer to making simple, accurate, and connected blood pressure monitoring available to millions of patients worldwide.”

Based in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Wellvii Inc. is working to improve the efficiency and quality of healthcare with wireless connected, non-invasive vital sign measurement technology for both the consumer wellness and clinical markets.
